good bye, francie.
It's the portrait of a life time of a little Brooklyn girl who grew up in poverty with hope, dream and love in her heart and mind. The book ends when her life starts, as a woman, in a new world. It's so true and real with all the details that reading it were like watching a film except the words are so much deeper than images.
Education, strong female influence, hard work always lead to dignity. What a great read.
