很好。从同理心角度解读白左现象很有意思。
虽然title看似离经叛道，而实际上Bloom反对的并不是empathy本身，而是empathy所根植的短视，偏见，冲动，非理性，以及刻板印象。
1. Empathy is narrow focused. 通常只是一个事件中一个人的感受，而不是贯彻问题整体 2. 导致spotlight一个人而忽视其他 3. 嫉妒和认为其罪有应得会极大降低对该人的empathy 4. Spotlight的另一面是，empathy只能看到别人所highlight的地方，比如难民照片 最后部分没能集中。。
共情的「过犹不及」的效应对个人行为决策给予了更多道德层面的挟持。作者认为更健康的团结是建立于—我理解你的处境，在意你的感受，但我的精神世界不痛不痒。批判过剩的共情迫害了理性的运转条件。
从不一样的角度看同理心，还是很有启发的。

内容四星，给自己带来的启发深刻加一星。好棒，很有启发，解答了我一直以来的一些疑惑和纠结之处。
读这本书可能有点bias - 从来就觉得自己是个low in emotional empathy and high in cognitive empathy的人。书中有些喜欢或新颖的点，比如the role of empathy in morality, 对比empathy and anger，和buddhism的联系，等等，有些章节读起来简直就是社会心理学教科书。最后一两张感觉已经基本脱离empathy，主要在讲intuition/emotion/heuristics vs reason，读到几度忘了到底在读哪本书。挺多例子上课可以用的……
