红楼梦难译，文化差异如鸿沟，能做到“信”“达”兼备是不可能的。本书译者将“达”做到极致，也总比两项都想兼顾，却都没做好的强。
非常好玩，中英思维与语言的对比。
花差不多俩月时间终于读完，收获不少。
这个备受爱戴的译本看得我拍案叫绝。翻译红楼梦太难了，Hawkes做了很多大胆的决定，这版有很多再创作的成分，很多地方我都很不同意，尴尬扶额。虽然但是，Hawkes真的已经太牛逼了。It's a pleasure to have such a great translation to critisize.
