Abject as the transition between pre-Oedipal existence and the Symbolic, the Other and the Self. Literature as an unveiling of the abject.
psychoanalysis
(From Filth to Defilement) SGS W8 ❶abject- weakness of that prohibition ❷ defilement是從symbolic system中被拋棄的;filth只適用與boundary有關的東西 ❸從defilement到rebirth(婆羅門教)❹Oedipus自己才是pharmakos(淨化手段)而Jocasta本身就是miasma.
Between law and transgression: ABJECTION不在处于无意识的轨道上,而是处在原始压抑的边界上,一方面与身体的征兆靠近,一方面与sublimation接触。
Feminist Psychoanalysis. 在拉康的基础上引入Freud 的the chora,由此创造了the abject的观念-the abject is a place where meaning threatens to breakdown and thus there is no distinction between the Self and the Other. Barbara Creed apply Kristeva into the genre of horror that the abject needs to be excluded since the symbolic order has to be restored.
