2.5/5 A philosophical meditation on humanity, TGWATG tells a pretty conventional zombie/post-apocalypse story in an unconventional way, measuring the virtues and vices of the human race in its unfolding; but the overly technical language and the slow pace in which events unfold can be so tormenting for readers who are not so excited about zombies.
Best Ever Zombie Book!!! Gripping book with fantastic characters.
第一次看这类小说，迷上了。看前几章，完全一头雾水，却欲罢不能。Melanie对女老师的忠诚和爱，支撑起了整部小说。喜欢小说的温情和风趣语言，不疾不徐的叙述节奏，以及孩子和成人的视角切换。
Incredibly refreshing and horrifying
有点幼稚。。。
最近翻了太多读了一些就怎么也读不下去的scifi了，难得有一本读起来这么畅快的。从半丧尸小女孩的这个角度写蛮新奇的，结局的选择也比较有意思。整体没有什么groundbreaking的点，甚至可以说很多设定很电影模版化，但就是各方面都很不错，电影感很强，读起来比较爽快～

整本书大概分为两个部分，基地毁灭前和基地毁灭后。感觉自己想看到的部分，作者都有些点到为止，不管是人性和世界客观发展的冲突，还是地球的自净作用与人类的革新。不过确实也是看过的一种全新形式的僵尸文，尤其喜欢作品的结尾。突然袭来的孤独感，以及女孩对于老师不知道是残忍还是深刻的爱。
Delicate writing, indicating the thought of both dark and bright side of human nature. The main character has great self regulation. The end is kind of shocked, but probably is the reasonable ending the nature in that world gives, the reasonable ending they deserves. (The hungry kid with consciousness is a real human form.)
