喜欢Gaiman对神的阐释，还有他汪洋恣肆的世界，不拘于体系，什么都可能从天而降地发生。他对No man is an island的发挥，以其冷静的小聪明高居我引用吐槽榜的前沿。还有他的花式骂人，印象深刻。湖上卡车的故事场景感真棒。给阴道吞噬情人的女神点赞。
结构很精巧，滴水不漏的感觉，上课叫我们identify里面的old gods来着，高幻必有的central message很清晰。不知道那个作纽约计程车司机的jinn的故事有没有东方学视角的嫌疑。
其实故事很平淡，可能是这本书断断续续拖了很久，没看出什么意思来
很有意思的主题，可惜作者的叙事没有他的野心那么宏大。过程中欲罢不能地想往下看，看完了感觉是个大忽悠。

我get不到这书，当作英语练习读完了，始终不相信大战就这样被嘴炮压熄了，然而还是错付了。古代众神的形象塑造得还算有趣，但类似的幻想小说也不缺，尤其无法理解Wednesday和Mr World的人设。唯一感到亮眼的是Shadow吊在树上那九天的地域路，可惜了松散的框架配不上极富画面感的想象力。
构思挺好的，但真没必要写这么长吧…结局其实还是有点小失望，但好像也在情理之中… （太长看英文看得贼累，看中文翻译又太拉，我只是想知道结局没想到就这样了…我太难了
