I didn't know that reading Murakami in English is such different from in Chinese, the experience and the excitement of reading definitely went up a few notches. Being logical and/or philosophical is what I care most in novels, and I'm so happy this book has both of the qualities I desire.
This is alright, the story is a bit convoluted, not sure what he's trying to get at. As always, Murakami's work reads like solitude.

I am an 100% loyal reader of Mr. Murakami since high school, but I have to say this one is quite plain among all his books so far published. Aside from Murakami's language style, the story is simple and linear, with some reminiscences, and that is all. The most interesting part is Haida and the little story told by him.
And he’s so faceless…
