一个死上班族，他是个生活平板、宛如游魂般的抄写员，名叫巴特比。他日以继夜不停地抄写，拒绝任何变化与沟通，不论人家要他做什么，他只是不停地重复，我他妈的不愿意呀，到最后甚至拒绝进食，结果就死了。

dead letters！does it sound like dead men？有点想到存在主义，人存在于世的目的是什么？是按部就班的生活着，还是在一遍又一遍的i would prefer not to中抵抗人生的虚无 — — 或许人生的意义就是没有意义吧。
Melville因为自己的身世，塑造了一个想被社会认可自身价值的Bartley，最后还是没有成功，算是be。但是关于有没有批判（也许是没有持过于乐观态度）超验主义我觉得用看到的一句比较合适（接受了超验主义的某些观点）主张超验所以想要重视个人，想要体现individualism但又觉得超验的一切过于虚幻难以实现；Melville老年也和Bartley一样将自己与世隔绝，还好百年诞辰被世人发现作品得以复兴（可是这本真的好难读😭）
以赛亚柏林谈消极自由，边界如何？最终allusion是公务员，毫不意外，卡夫卡式的荒诞。"meridian"一词的使用，游戏理论，难免想见麦卡锡。叙事学标，课后回来改。
《抄写员巴托比》几乎代表全天下上班族的心声，干了大家不敢做的事——朝老板说不。我不愿意，我不愿意，我不愿意，如此反抗，循环往复，直至消亡。
