短篇小说集，较喜欢其中三篇
看得很心塞。。我在每个故事的女性身上都看到了自己的影子
Runaway 那篇的羊意象很精彩… 还没有读石黑一雄被语言的complete mastery engulf 的感觉，静观其变。在人山人海有些窒息的地铁上，夹在两个穿着灰色大衣的男人之间读这本书，翻页的时候瞥见右边男人黑黝的手，想起了一副许久前看过的手素描。我的意识在层层叠叠的现实中穿梭，回家感到无比困乏，睡了二十分钟还是觉得无比困倦。
最喜欢Tricks这一篇！让一直看不进英文小说的我第一次体会到英语语言的美妙

门罗的长处不在于词汇量而在于叙事。她往往先从事情的发展中取出截面，让读者被陌生的情境迷惑再写故事的开端，不介意跳脱出短篇小说时间的限制，让几十年后回乡的心境与当下的对峙，谜题被铺设又被揭开，涌起悔恨与释然。Trick的戏剧性或许源于项链，但写出了地广人稀的小镇里，看似庸碌半生的人藏有的秘密和女性对爱情的取舍，淡然几笔小镇的变迁写出时间的横亘。我也很喜欢Trespass中嬉皮士家庭在性与烟酒上的开放，和父母对孩子隐瞒创伤回忆的矛盾，孩子傲慢的无所不知与面对隐秘创伤时的手足无措的对比，非常少被触及，还有同名山羊在大雾中冲出的奇迹，和结尾令人窒息的，女性自由被扼杀的心结。
