Manifolds, the higher-dimensional analogs of smooth curves and surfaces, are fundamental objects in modern mathematics. Combining aspects of algebra, topology, and analysis, manifolds have also been applied to classical mechanics, general relativity, and quantum field theory. In this streamlined introduction to the subject, the theory of manifolds is presented with the aim of helping the reader achieve a rapid mastery of the essential topics. By the end of the book the reader should be able to compute, at least for simple spaces, one of the most basic topological invariants of a manifold, its de Rham cohomology. Along the way, the reader acquires the knowledge and skills necessary for further study of geometry and topology. The requisite point-set topology is included in an appendix of twenty pages; other appendices review facts from real analysis and linear algebra. Hints and solutions are provided to many of the exercises and problems. This work may be used as the text for a one-semester graduate or advanced undergraduate course, as well as by students engaged in self-study. Requiring only minimal undergraduate prerequisites, "Introduction to Manifolds" is also an excellent foundation for Springer's GTM 82, "Differential Forms in Algebraic Topology".

极佳的微分流形入门书
目前所见,最适合学习流形的入门书。Loring Tu是台湾裔,在美国从事代数几何与代数拓扑研究,他的另一本书Differential Geometry写得也十分精彩。他能将所有概念以清晰明了的方式呈现,实在是一个写书天才。
零基础瞎jier看,很浅的入门书,写的很清楚
主要看前两章和后两章,中间部分主要是概念介绍,比较啰嗦。
复习的时候翻了一下,证明和定义给得挺好的。步子迈得比较小,内容感觉有点少,一下子就看完了。最后torus上cohomology ring的计算挺有意思的。
De Rham theory后面就没读了,翻阅过程中也没怎么写题。读了这本书很难说入门微分流形,但smooth maps那部分值得一看,毕竟作者给了很多直观的例子。
