I learnt quite many things from the book, but I find the book too ambitious: each country has complicated geographic, history and geopolitical issues, and Tim tried to wrap them in one chapter, it impacts the reading experience-at some point I almost felt there’s a template fits all countries. I like the last chapter the most, it’s hopeful.

Great overview of the geographical advantages and challenges facing a myriad of countries divided by its regionalism and exploration of the roles of each country in the global arena. Interesting read.
