Human nature drives the timeless and universal cycles. The eager for wealth and power creates both the prosperity and the conflicts. 老祖宗的物极必反，否极泰来和西方的linear progression大致就拼凑起了历史的upward spiral cycle. 生长在peace and prosperity stage的人们对于非常时期是缺乏想象力的。

Ray Dalio，猎豹级的instinct。通常Dalio的书语言都很浅显，为扩大读者base，给出自己的预警和者建议可谓不遗余力。这本书的出版想必艰难，因为这是一个非常婉转但assertive的寓言故事，前面80%的篇幅都是在为最后的预测做铺垫 -- 美国将在2025 / 2026因Formosa问题与中国产生正面冲突，且美国将在五年内进入recession。中美没有全面战争的基础，但军事摩擦不可避免，也无法快速消解。其实书中也隐晦表达了美国金毛再度当选的可能性。这些预测，都很准确。
论证有点过于想当然了，而且细想总觉得站不住脚。如果没有体制的冲突，我应该会很同意他的结论，但考虑到中美现在各自的系统问题，我反而觉得是在看谁衰落得更快……
总让人感觉有捧杀之嫌。对苏联的评价有点过低了。
根据他的预测，未来10年，有35%概率开战……
